Apple MacBook Nano

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

It is rumored that there would be a MacBook Nano. This time, we have an image of the model. How LG had this information (or should we say, rumor) about this? Well, anyway, we are attracted by rumors like insects by light, then treat yourself with this picture. Many speculate that there will be a OLED touchscreen. After all, we can not expect less because Apple has paid to LG half a billion dollars in R&D in touch technology. You think a MacBook Nano worth it or not?

New iPod Shuffle by Apple

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

The design of the iPod Shuffle was again cooled, and it has more square shape you used to see, but now it has become rectangular. The maximum capacity has been doubled, while the wheel is gone. The lock has been accepted, and VoiceOver announces what song is played, accompanied by the artist name, and that, just by pressing a button on the earphone cable. The VoiceOver technology also allows you to call the songs from your playlist. The new iPod Shuffle will cost $80, in black or white version, and it still holds the title of “The Smallest Music Player” in the world, according to Apple.

The Mac Mini includes 17 USB 2.0 ports

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

How many USB ports does it take for a computer? Answer: as far as handbags and shoes to a woman (I know men who are all very strong in this area) – there is never enough. Until now, there are 17, and frankly, I don’t see what you are going to do it all. Well, now take all your USB devices and connect all your USB ports.

The netbook that Apple will never make

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

Because Apple doesn’t decide to enter the world of netbooks, I suggest the work of Isamu Sanada with a laptop/netbook composed of three parts, the whole in a clamshell.

Mapple: Apple seen by the Simpsons

Monday, December 1st, 2008

The episode of the Simpsons last night learned us that at Springfield, the Simpsons have an Apple Store, uh, sorry … a Mapple Store!

Matt Groening caricatures the famous brand of the fruit in highlighting the opening of a Mapple Store in the Shopping Center in Springfield. The products are called MyPods, MyPhone,…

“It’s so sterile,” said Lisa, entering the Mapple Store. And full of allusions to criticism that we can do to Apple products unfortunately too expensive … downloading music too expensive ($0.99 / mp3).

I recommend the passage where Bart imitates Steve Jobs … Steve Mobs, uh…

Don’t remove the battery from your Mac laptops

Monday, November 24th, 2008

Many of us remove the battery from our Mac laptops when it operated on the AC adaptor to prolong the life of the battery, this is a bad habit that must be lost. Indeed, the processor performance when the battery is not in place is significantly lower.

According to GearLog, the processor performance are reduced at more than 30% when the battery is removed. The results from tests of Cinebench with the battery plugged in and connected to the AC adaptor, the score reached 5 549. Without the battery, the score reached 3 504.

Apple Support has also written a page dedicated to the problem.

iMac QuadCore with Snow Leopard in 2009?

Monday, November 24th, 2008

Apple has decided not to release a new iMac in November and we know why. Indeed, it appears that the Cupertino firm is waiting quietly for the new QuadCore processors from Intel. In the program, we should find three types of processors: the Core 2 Quad Q8200, the Core 2 Quad Q9400 and Core 2 Quad Q9550 will be respectively clocked at 2.33 GHz (4 MB of level 2 cache), 2.66 GHz (6 MB of level 2 cache) and 2.83 GHz (12 MB of level 2 cache).

The release date of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard has been advanced to the first quarter of 2009. So we thinked that the future iMac desktop will benefit from the latest version of Mac OS X.

Iomega eGo Helium external hard drive

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

The MacBook Air is incredibly thin, then there is only one portable hard drive to go with it: the Iomega eGo Helium. It has an anodized aluminum case with a thickness of only 1.6cm and weighs 200g with a USB port for the power supply (and also for data transfer, of course). It is currently a 320GB version, but hope that there will be greater capacity external hard drives. Price: $149.99.

Microsoft Office on the iPhone in 2009?

Monday, November 17th, 2008

Finally, in reality, it seems that Microsoft has in the idea of launching a web version of its Office suite available via (and among others) the following browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. Which suggests that a version for iPhone might be expected. A beta service could start by the end of the year. We can therefore expect an availability in 2009…
