TG Sambo Averatec Star laptop

TG Sambo has released another laptop for the South Korean market: the Averatec Star – this model will have a eco and slim design, with a silver-aluminum finish and an integrated battery. On the inside you’ll find an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4GHz, 3GB RAM, a 320GB SATA hard drive and a 13.1 widescreen LCD. This device is not for gaming because it doesn’t have a graphics card, but it has a Intel GMA X4500MHD graphics controller. And finally, there is Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Ethernet LAN, VGA output, three USB 2.0 ports and a 1.3 megapixel integrated webcam. The price is not known.

Asus Lamborghini VX5 laptop

Asus has decided to make the Lamborghini VX5 laptop even faster with a 1TB SSD drive, making it the first model of its kind in the world. Unveiled before the CeBIT in Germany starts, the Lamborghini VX5 can store an enormous amount of data over a standard hard drive, while providing the benefits that only a SSD can issue – the load times faster, power consumption lower, and is less sensitive to shocks and falls. The Lamborghini VX5 laptop works with an Intel Core 2 Quad, 4GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 130M GT graphics card, a backlit keyboard and a Blu-ray. The price is of course up to the performance.

Asus unveils the U/UX Series laptops

Asus has announced the U and UX series ultra slim laptops that will be made apparent in the second quarter of this year. Both models will adopt a chiclet-style keyboard and a LED backlit self-control display. The U series has a 15.6-inch glossy LCD screen, and a touchpad with an interesting specification – the light gradually decreases to follow your fingers. You have an Intel Core 2 Duo, a NVIDIA GeForce G105M graphics card, a hard drive up to 500GB and Altec Lansing SRS true surround speakers. We know very little about the UX, we know only that it has an slot-in optical disk drive.

Taiwan Mobile announces the W101 netbook

Taiwan Mobile has announced its W101 netbook includes the same specifications as other netbook market. You’ll get a 10-inch screen and it will work with an Intel Atom N270, an 8GB SSD and Windows XP. The W101 netbook costs $422, but you can opt for packages with 3.5G wireless service if you wish.

MSI GT725 gaming laptop

The MSI GT725 is a gaming laptop equipped with the very powerful graphics card ATI Radeon HD4850, which states offer the performance of PC Suite on a single card. Although this will not be as fast as ATI CrossFire solutions, where two video cards running in parallel, it should satisfy the average gamer. Other specifications of the MSI GT725 include support for 1080p resolution, a widescreen of 17″, Blu-ray and a 9-cell battery. The gaming laptop will work with the Intel 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P9500, but it’s hoped that you are tough because the GT725 weighs over 3kg. The price is not known, but it should not be far from $1600.

The netbook should arrive in next April logically. Specifications: a 10.2-inch screen, an Intel Atom N280, 2GB of RAM, a battery of 6 or 9 cells, Windows XP, and several choices of colors (white, metallic black, blue, red). The price is not known yet.

The Asus Eee PC Shell ultra thin netbook for April

The Commercial Times (in Chinese) said that Asus is about to release their Eee PC Shell in April. Yet, little is known about this netbook except some specifications: it will be thinner, more powerful and have better battery life than the Asus S101. You ask “how much?”. The same price than the high-end netbooks, between $480 and $580.

Panasonic W8 Premium Edition laptops

Not only the Panasonic W8 Premium Edition has a very nice look, but it will be equipped with Intel X-25M 80GB SSD, with a reading speed of 250MB/s and writing speed 70MB/s. You can choose between Black, Silver and Rose Splash. While the price and availability are not known, it’s likely that the W8 will be expensive because it will turn heads when you come out of the bag.
