Chuwi M20 portable media player

Chuwi in China has released its share of portable media players (PMPs) in the past, but none of them out of the ordinary. Their latest device, the M20, is correct, with a 4.3-inch screen, but disappointing with a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels. Well, at least 720p support is there, if you have high definition video files. The price and availability are not known yet.

OLED Sony Walkman in the UK

Our UK friends will have the new range of OLED touch Walkman by Sony, because pre-orders began on Amazon UK. The X Series version will be 16GB (NWZ-X1050B) and 32GB (NWZ-X1060B), and delivery times ranging from 15 days to 5 weeks. The 16GB and 32GB models are priced at £214 and £283.

Sony has expanded its Walkman range with the NW-S730FK Series which includes the 8GB NW-S738FK and 4GB NW-S736FK. Both devices have a TFT 2-inch screen, and supports WMA, MP3, ATRAC, linear PCM, ATRAC Advanced Lossless, AAC HE-AAC, and JPEG. For the video, you can see movies and video clips in AVC (H.264/AVC), Windows Media Video 9 and MPEG-4.

Not much information about this Chuwi M70, but after the first echoes it is more like a kind of evolved PDA than a simple PMP. Otherwise, we know that it will offer a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels via its display of 16 million of colors.

iRiver NV Mini: New tactile PMP with GPS

It’s in Korea that the new iRiver NV Mini will make its beginnings. Nothing really new, just a clever Mix between a PMP and PND. The result, a very compact device, and relatively complete, with Windows CE 5.0, and offers a 3.5-inch touch screen (resolution: 320×240), with 4 GB of memory, a media player, and other functions for this kind of device. Only one problem, the autonomy, which levels out 2.50 hours. Price: 188,000 Won ($140).

Here is the O2, the mobile media player from Cowon. The new O2 offers a touchscreen of 4.3″, a capacity of 8GB, 16GB or 32GB, a T-DMB tuner, an electronic dictionary, compatibility with multimedia formats on the market, a SD/SDHC port, 18 hours of reading audio, 8 for video, built-in speakers and a TV output, and sizes 119×73x18mm.

But be aware that it is now available at JetMall, Amazon or NewEgg (to mention only the most important) for viewing price of $219.99 for the 8GB version, $249.99 for the 16GB version and $299.99 for 32GB.

Here, it was a long time that Bmorn had not introduced a portable video player. This is now done with the BM-887, which has a 3″ screen, which was announced as compatible with formats RM, RMVB, AVI, APE and FLAC Lossless audio. Price: $50, logically.
