Samsung releases a 40″ OLED

In 2005, Samsung had shown an OLED screen of 40″, but it does not support HD and the contrast ratio remained stationed around 5,000:1. The new 40″ Samsung OLED is only 8.9mm thick and features deserve two seconds of attention.

The prototype displays FullHD 1080p resolution and a contrast ratio to make scream specialists “in sham” and marketing departments “but not” of 1,000,000:1.

It displays 107% of color of the NTSC standard (which must miss colors, apparently) and a brightness of 200cd/m2 (Max 600cd/m2).

Unfortunately, Samsung is quick to clarify that its production lines for OLED displays can not exceed 31-inch of diagonal, but their road map normally provides yet for 2010. Suddenly, you start to perhaps thinking about changing your Home Theater …
