HP Mini-Q: Desktop computer based on Atom processor

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

It is interesting to note how quickly HP launches itself in low price computers. Mini-Q is a NetPC in the form of a mini-tower (monitor not included). We’re not sure whether it’s worth the price, but it’s cool.

The specifications of the Mini-Q 2030 ($386) include: Intel Atom Dual-Core 1.6Ghz, 2GB DDR2 RAM, 160GB SATA Hard Drive (7200rpm), Dual-Layer DVD, Windows Vista for a weight of 4.4lbs. And for the Mini-Q 2020 ($296): Intel Atom mono-Core 1.6Ghz, 1GB RAM, Windows XP.

Compaq Mini 700

Friday, October 31st, 2008

The almost clone of the HP Mini 1000, we showed you the other day, and then which shows no many differences with its model. The logo Compaq has obviously taken the place of the HP logo, an HSDPA option is available, the Mini 700 will be available from December, while we must wait until February 2009 for the HP 1000 Mini (at least in England), and it will be Finally of £100 cheaper (than the HP if you’ve followed).
