The original specification required that the device is resistant to falls from a height of 90cm and start 26 times consecutively just after, GD-Itronix says that their product may fall from 15cm more. Moreover, it can operate as if nothing had happened after being doused in more than 113 liters at a speed of 64km/h for four hours non-stop. You will need strong shoulders because GD8000 weighs 3kg, and will include the following specifications:

  • Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 4500MHD integrated graphics controller with 1GB of video memory shared
  • 120GB Hard Drive
  • 64GB SSD optional
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
  • Integrated GPS Sensor
  • Fingerprint Reader and memory card reader

Naturally, something so strong is not cheap, the GD8000 rugged laptop costs $3,800.
