Samsung launches clamshell phone midrange, the SCH-W960, in South Korea through SK Telecom. You have a choice for a black or white version, and one of the main attractions are its internal AMOLED 2.6-inch display of 262k color (240 x 320). Other specifications of the mobile phone include:

  • GSM and HSDPA
  • GPS
  • OLED external 1.5-inch display
  • MP3 player
  • Bluetooth
  • 2 megapixel camera
  • Battery 800 mAh

We don’t known if Samsung intends to export this mobile phone out of South Korea.

The Samsung Ego GT-S9402 is a luxury mobile phone and you need a high budget because its sale price is about $1,500. Built-based on a “liquid metal” alloy developed by Caltech, the Ego is a solid mobile phone that claims to be more resistant, supports up to 1.8 times the pressure, 1.6 times more flexible, an absortion rate of vibrations 3 times higher and a rate of thermal conductivity 100% less than the titanium. It has the following specifications:

  • Tri band GSM (900/1800/1900 Mhz), GPRS / EDGE on the 1st SIM
  • Dual-band (900/1800 MHz), GPRS / EDGE on the 2nd SIM
  • QVGA AMOLED 2-inch screen of 262k colors
  • 5-megapixel camera
  • Autofocus, image stabilization, smile detection, WDR and Flash LED
  • FM radio with RDS
  • 1GB of storage
  • MicroSDHC memory card reader
  • Bluetooth 2.0 and USB port

But it doesn’t support 3G or WiFi, otherwise it would have its place among high-end mobile phones.

Samsung T-OMNIA released in Korea with a 806Mhz CPU

Here is the Samsung T-OMNIA. The PDA phone includes the following specifications: a display of 480×800 pixels (instead of 240×480), a CPU of 806Mhz (instead of 624MHz), S-DMB (digital TV), UMTS/HSDPA 7.2Mbps (theoretical), 4GB or 16GB of storage. The PDA phone is available for November 27 in South Korea.

HUGO BOSS launches its mobile phone in collaboration with Samsung

The fashion brand Hugo Boss is following the footsteps of Giorgio Armani by signing a collaboration with the Korean manufacturer Samsung and announces the release of its mobile phone.

The HUGO BOSS mobile phone is simply a Samsung Style Player F480, it offers a 2.8-inch touchscreen, a custom interface with dynamic shortcuts, 3G+, 7.2 Mbps, 5-megapixels camera, MP3 and HUGO BOSS playlist, FM Radio with RDS, microSD port, and it measures 98 x 55 x 11 mm. Also available with a Bluetooth headset.

Samsung introduces a new mobile phone dedicated to music in partnership with Bang & Olufsen and the Pussycat Dolls. Here is the Samsung M3200. In addition, the mobile phone is equipped with a 2-inch screen displays 240 x 320 pixels and is compatible EDGE but not 3G, impractical to download multimedia. Finally, it also has a 2-megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.0 Stereo connectivity. Regarding the storage space, it should be based on a memory card. Price: $300.

Samsung GT-S3030 Tobi: A mobile phone for young people

For the youngest among you, Samsung has developed a new mobile phone, the GT-S3030 TOBI. A more environmentally friendly (no toxic materials), and with relatively basic functions. Not bother to make a drawing, we have a Fun and colorful mobile phone, which still offers an 1.9″ LCD display, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a multimedia player, 15Mb of storage, microSD/SDHC card slot and USB and Bluetooth connectivity.

This new sliding mobile phone is tri-band GSM, GPRS, EDGE and WAP. The mobile phone measures 94.7×45.4×17.5mm, for a weight of 85g. Available in 6 colors (sweet pink, bright orange, loyal blue, oasis blue, apple green, snow silver), the Samsung S3030 Tobi will be sold before the end of November in Italy, England and other European countries. No price announced, but it will be very affordable.

Samsung produces SSD of 256GB of storage

A few weeks ago, Samsung had shown its willingness to invest more in this market segment of ’solid state disks (SSD), or ‘flash memory’ drives.
On November 20, the Korean group announced that it has crossed the record production volume of SSD with a capacity of 256 gigabytes of storage – components including laptop computers or not…

Samsung said that the performance of these new memory ‘chips’ are twice higher than the previous models of 64 and 128 GB

The manufacturer said that it has reached a 10% reduction in the gap between rates of reading in sequential mode to 220 MB/s and writing in sequential mode of 200 MB/s. No price for the moment.

Samsung unveils a 23″ display, the 2494HS SyncMaster, displaying a contrast ratio of 1000:1, a response time of 5ms, a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the DVI-D and VGA, HDMI and HDCP. Price: $420, for mid-December in Japan.

Not much information for this new clamshell of Samsung, except that it has a 3.5mm jack, dedicated buttons for listening to music, an internal display with a resolution of 128 × 160 pixels and a 1.3-megapixel sensor. Price: $180.

Samsung 2342BWX: QWXGA 23-inch LCD display

Samsung unveiled this week, the first 23″ LCD display offering a QWXGA resolution (2048×1152). Such a format to display the equivalent of 2 A4 pages, or one A3 page in 16/9 format. Otherwise, it offers a contrast of 20,000:1, and a response time of 5ms.

A real novelty that should appeal to pros of graphics, DTP and video editing. No more information yet, but an impending availability in the Korean market at a price of $295.
