Cadillac offers Autonet in its car

Autonet is a 3G wireless router that has been specially designed for use in a car, and will be the first to be on the Cadillac CTS Sports Sedan. This allows everyone in the car (and the people around you during traffic jams), share an Internet connection on EV-DO Rev. A. Operators can identify and resolve configuration problems of Wi-Fi remotely, and Autonet service will start from $29 per month which is very affordable compared to standard 3G data packages.

This unit has USB connectivity that allows users to connect their external hard drives to make backups or even share the content through Wi-Fi You can even connect a printer and share it. You can access the functions of Globetrotter III via the screen in color. Option has opted for the Qualcomm 7225 chipset, which can reach speeds of 7.2Mbps download and upload up to 5.76Mbps. Those who reside in the U.S. will be pleased to learn that the Globetrotter III also supports Advanced Wireless Service. The price is not known yet.

TRENDnet TEW-635BRM hybrid wireless modem router

TRENDnet announced its hybrid TEW-635BRM wireless modem router which is actually a wireless N ADSL2/2+ modem offering higher broadband speeds up to 24Mbps downstream, a Wi-Fi 802.11n router, which gives a theoretical speed of 300Mbps on local networking. In addition, you’ll also have four 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports and a switch for wired connections. Concerning data security, the TEW-635BRM has a firewall system of two layers and supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup which secures a wireless connection between computers. The administration will be managed on the Internet and easy to configure on Windows, Mac and Linux.
